🍻 New Video: Dungeons N’ Drafts One-Shot Night
Ever wanted to play D&D at a bar with strangers who quickly become party members? That’s the idea behind Dungeons N’ Drafts, a one-shot event series happening at local bars across the country.
You may have seen mention of Dungeons N’ Drafts before when Eric Thayer posted on the community cork board. The Durham chapter is run by community members like Eric who serve as dungeon masters and guide players through short, engaging campaigns. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a seasoned veteran! They’re super beginner-friendly, so it’s a perfect way to get introduced to Dungeons & Dragons without fearing the commitment of a multi-day campaign and character-creation learning curve.
We stopped by a recent night at Moon Dog Meadery in Durham to capture it, and we rolled a nat 20. Check out the video we made and give the local chapter and dungeon masters some love!
🎭 Festival of Legends 2026 Has Confirmed Dates!
Yes, Festival of Legends is officially happening on April 25-26, 2026 at Sugg Farm in Holly Springs, NC! See the announcements on Facebook or Instagram. The organizers will be contacting returning artists and performers over the next few months, and applications for new artists will open in October & November. Keep an eye on their socials for more updates and info!
Psst. We recently got to speak with Jeffery Kass, the creator of Festival of Legends, and we’ll be dropping an exclusive interview + video soon!
🛸 GalaxyCon Raleigh is Right Around the Corner
GalaxyCon has been dropping some big guest updates lately. We can now expect to meet Andy Serkis, Jason Isaacs, and Nolan North! Smeagol, Lucius Malfoy, and Destiny 2’s Ghost will be in attendance.
If these names mean anything to you, you know how great of a convention this is shaping up to be. And we’ll be there getting coverage so you don’t miss it if you’re not able to go. But we hope to see you there.
Let us know if you’re going by replying to this email! And check the details in issue #13 for cost, address, etc.
