Start your year off right with Animate! Raleigh. I attended this con last January and it was a great way to kick off the year. Here’s why you should go:

Animate! is currently like a smaller, more intimate version of GalaxyCon. GalaxyCon has some great things, and their success allows them to bring in lots of great guests and performances… But it can feel really crowded and stuffy sometimes. Animate! gives you some breathing room.

The only downside is that it can be a little more expensive.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This event is scheduled to happen at the Raleigh Convention Center which suffered a fire earlier this month. Animate! is still scheduled, but not confirmed yet. Please check their Instagram or other social media for the latest updates before you go.

Cost: From $50 (single-day Friday) to $120 (weekend pass). VIP passes available for $295.
