This Weekend: Playthrough Gaming Convention

Raleigh, NC—October 4th & 5th

Playthrough Gaming Convention is back. On Saturday & Sunday, game developers and enthusiasts will meet to showcase and play the latest games, and I’m oh so excited. You’ll find video games, eSports, tabletop games, card games, and maybe some new type of game we haven’t even imagined yet.

Some of the weekend’s activities include free-to-play games, tournament sign-ups, tabletop RPG sessions, and cosplay. And we’ll be there both days getting coverage of the fun and talking to everyone about all things gaming.

One of my favorite things to see at these events is attendees working together to beat old school games like Super Mario World. Go ahead and take your turn at beating a level or two!

Cost: $34.53 (Sunday, advanced) to $65.00 (2-day pass, day-of)
Address: Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27601

Call for artists & vendors: Festival of Legends 2026

One of our favorite events, the Festival of Legends, is now calling for new artists and vendors for their April 25-26, 2026 festival! They are especially interested in those offering:

  • Hand-forged metalwork

  • Hand-crafted woodwork

  • Clothing (faire & everyday wear)

  • Handmade toys & games

  • Handmade musical instruments

  • Teas and/or spices & seasonings

If this sounds like you or someone you know, fill out their application!

Note: Food vendors & entertainers should not complete the form, but email [email protected] instead.

See more info on Instagram.

If you’re curious about the Festival of Legends, watch our video from this year:
